Fly tying is an absorbing pastime, and you will find that you can often find yourself at the vice for many a long hour. Two things are of paramount importance: comfortable seating and working position, and good lighting. Good lighting is important to avoid eye-strain, and good daylight balanced lighting is even better, because it allows you to accurately assess colour as it will be seen out on the water in daylight - ultimately by the fish. This light fulfils both functions.
